I just found out from my malaysia colleague tat west and east malaysia can apply for rifles if u have a certain amount of plantation ... to protect yrself from wild animals....

What if you don't have plantation and no valid reason for protection? Say for instance, just traveling and having it around as self defense, say you buy a normal revolver, can you even cross the border or are you supposed to surrender the rental or purchase and do it again when you arrive the at the next country ar?

she say it is only for people who owns vast area of plantation... even if u register with the government, every month u need to hang yr rifle to let the government bodies check and account for it....

so, I guess it is very strict

No i mean the relax for fire arm apply mainly to the east m'sia.

But for stated that are more unpredictable, i would say the northern one near the border. That is due the Islamic extremist there.

Some of the rumours i hear are; Girl are not a lot to wear mini skirt and foreigner are require to wear sarong to cover up their leg.

hence, u need to do a separate search on east and west malaysia map...
